Game Glitch

I am in the middle of chapter 4 and 

Spoiler:

waiting for Jim to show up. I have read the two messages and I made breakfast because nothing happened. It won't let me leave my room because I'm supposed to wait for Jim to show up. I found the noise silencer in the drawer and read the pamphlet in the living room.

Am I missing something? Or is this a game glitch. If it is a glitch, how do I get this fixed?

Oh wow. for some reason when I clicked on that before I didn't see the magnifying glass go red to read more pages. Thank you so much, that was easy.
