I quickly ducked behind counters watching Gavin's every move. I couldn't believe Gavin as here! I wondered off until I realized that Gavin was moving toward my direction. We locked eye contact....I brushed a hair behind my ear when..... "Hey" Gavin said. I was shocked that he wasn't embarrassed to be seen with me but most of all he said hey! I managed to return a hey back. "So.. did your mom also ask you to do her errands?" "Ha, yeah she did." I said. I was surprised I hadn't mumbled. He asked if I wanted to join him so I did. I mean who wouldn't want to go grocery hunting with Gavin!? We had a tiny conversation about how good our moms cooking is. It turns out his mom was also making some spaghetti! He asked me if I secretly fed it to the dog and ordered pizza with dad. I was surprised how real he was and how much we had in common. I wondered how we look back at this when we are married in the future.... ( at least in my world i'm thinking about it) I dozed off while Gavin was telling me about his dog Layla. That's until he asked me if I wanted a walk home. I quickly said sure but tried not to sound so desperate. As we walked home I heard hooting and hollering. We were about to walk into our neighborhood and is was all quiet. That's when I saw Jack. The most popular ,coolest , most hottest guy in all of High School. He was with some of his jock friends. I didn't start to panic because I was with Gavin, right? That's until they started walking toward our direction! OK PANIC! I think Gavin either read my mind or thought the same thing because he said "It's OK" Jack came over and patted Gavin on the back. "What's up bro!?" Then he glanced at me. "ohhhhhh. Hey.... er.... Lucy is it?" "Yeah" Gavin said before I could. Gavin whispered something into Jack's ear, and Jack left along with his posse .
