'Tis the Season Player Gifting
Hey guys!
On the original VFK Fan Forums we use to create a forum wide event where you would gift an item to another player for the holidays. I would like to try this out here on Miss Clue Forums to spread the holiday joy!
How this works:
1. Players comment what they are wishing for this holiday season on VFK (this can be really big, or really small), your list can be as long as you want.
2. Another player will quote that players comment OR tag the player and say what they are giving to them. (You may keep the gift a secret, but please make sure to comment on this thread).
3. Private message the player receiving said gift to arrange a meet up time (or send as a gift box!)
At the end of this year (New Years Eve) I will host a giveaway for everyone who participated in this event! There will be two categories (Those that gave, and those that played). I will select 2 winners in each category to receive a mystery prize.
A few things to keep in mind...
- Although it would be wonderful to get a beanie as a gift, the odds of that aren't very high so please keep your wishlists reasonable (that doesn't mean don't try!).
- Some participating players may not get a gift.
- Please dont give a gift just to get in the giveaway, do it out of the goodness of your heart. Think of the giveaway as a bonus!
- You are more than welcome to give or receive multiple gifts, as well as creating multiple want lists (if you do wish to add something new to your list please create another comment with that item that way other players see it).
Example:
Player A:
This holiday season I am wishing for: a purple turtle on log, a host snowman hat, and a plush dolphin.
Player B:
@ Player A, I would like to gift you a plush dolphin for the holidays! I have sent you a private message to discuss a time to meet with you in game!
-OR-
Player B:
@ Player A, I would like to give you a gift from your list this holiday season! I have sent you a private message to discuss a time to meet with you in game!
I hope this ends up being as successful as it was on the previous forum. It was one of my most favorite things I had participated in and I looked forward to it every year :)
