Anniversary Membership IDEAS
INSPIRATION: For a while, I have been a fan of the British Royal Family. I keep an eye on what they're doing and what is going on. It basically started when Meghan Markle married Prince Harry and they became the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. So, with the 14th [I believe] anniversary of VFK coming up, I knew memberships would be around the corner.. and what would a good membership be? A royalty themed membership.
OUTFITS: I think, for outfits, we could take inspiration from Her Majesty, the Queen, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, etc. They always look fashionable, and it would be amazing to see in-game, on characters. One outfit I absolutely adore is the outfit the Duchess of Cambridge wore to the memorial of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. The black and white polka-dot dress is just absolutely gorgeous - as she is as well! Not to mention, the Duchess of Sussex also had gorgeous looks. For the Commonwealth Day service, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex wore an emerald green dress with matching beret. I consider it, personally, one of her best looks. However, if we are talking about outfit choices for the royal family, we have to talk about the icon herself, the late Diana, Princess of Wales. Diana had some of the best looks the royal family has ever worn out in public. Revenge dress, anyone? Of course, we also have to talk about Her Majesty, the Queen Elizabeth II. Considering we already have the Imperial Crown and Scepter, it only makes sense that the rest of the outfit is made as well - as this was her coronation look upon the death of her father, King George VI. For the guys, the Dukes of Sussex and Cambridges' best outfits could be potentially made. Also - tiaras! We need some tiaras! For men, it is harder to make as they normally wear suits - but it could still be manageable. As for military uniforms, the Dukes of Sussex, Cambridge, and Edinburgh's uniforms could also be made.
Posted below, at the bottom, are the outfits listed, plus potential other outfits that I would love to see in-game.
FURNITURE: For furniture wise, it could be based on the many palaces of the British Royal Family. Buckingham Palace, Windsor Palace, Clarence House, Kensington Palace, Frogmore Castle, etc. Each palace is very decadent and very lavish - which is fitting because they are apart of British royalty. Personally, I love Buckingham Palace. It is just quite exquisite. The history behind it too, is just amazing. The first monarch to reside in Buckingham Palace, and call it their home base, was Queen Victoria. The project started all the way back in the 1700s, but only finished when Victoria ascended to the throne following the death of her uncle, William IV.
Another thing that would be amazing under furniture is portraits. I know on VFK, we have a TON of people that collect paintings. To keep in theme with royalty, for paintings it could be past, current, and future monarchs. Monarch paintings could consist of Victoria, George IV, George VI, Elizabeth II, Charles, Prince of Wales (as he is heir apparent upon the death of Her Majesty). Other monarch paintings could consist of past Houses of English royalty: Elizabeth I, Mary I, Henry VIII (House of Tudor), Mary, Queen of Scots (Only reason I am including a Scottish queen in this is because of the historical claim to the throne of England she had - for reference, Mary and Elizabeth were cousins. Mary, Queen of Scots' father was James V, whose mother was Margaret Tudor. Margaret was the sister of Henry VIII of England - the father of Queens Mary and Elizabeth. Henry VIII's son with Jane Grey, Edward VI, died at age 15. Since Henry had no other sons, the crown passed to Mary I. Mary died with no heirs, which left Elizabeth I to ascend. However, Mary, Queen of Scots had a claim to the throne as she was a great-niece of Henry VIII - and many people believed Elizabeth I was illegitimate due to her father's divorce from his first wife.)
FX: For FX, I feel like this would be the hardest one to make. What I envision is a glowing gold light over the character, a hologram Imperial Crown, gold glitter fluttering down. This one, I really don't have much of an idea. I'd leave this up to staff, as they always do a great job with FX!
ROOMS: Rooms, I feel like would be pretty easy. I would just base it off of Buckingham Palace. We could do multiple rooms like the Ghost Dragon bundle. We could also do connected rooms like how Miss Claira's Mansion and the Dyer Mansion is. Obviously, since this entire idea is based around royalty, the rooms would be inspired by royal palaces. Buckingham Palace would be the best bet. We could do one room be the outside of Buckingham Palace. The other rooms could be the hallways, the dining room, the "living rooms", the bedrooms, etc. Honestly, there is so much inspiration for rooms!
CONCLUSION: Overall, I do think that having a royal themed membership would be amazing. Obviously, I love the royal family. I follow them on social media, I watched the weddings on television. The history of the British Royal Family is quite extensive - and more than I could put into words here. If you are ever interested, there are many great documentaries about the Royal Family. I personally have the autobiography that Diana, Princess of Wales put out with Andrew Morton. A great book, indeed.
