can't get rid of flowers

the is second time I've done flowers for dinner table but this time even tho' maid offer to put in water I can't give the flowers to her--help

    @Guest457459, it's possible if you have the flowers out of your inventory and in your hand, that might happen, try putting the flowers back in your inventory and try again. :)

    Also The Flowers aren't important to progressing in the game they are only a fun activity, so if you like, the next time you're asked you don't have to pick them.
