Scene: The Darcy family is eating dinner
Jane: Kids! Dinner time!
Martha & Lucy: Coming!
(The kids & Josh arrive in the kitchen)
Jane: We're having meatloaf.
Martha: Yes! I love meatloaf!
Lucy: Yuck! How can you like meatloaf?
Martha: How can you not??
Lucy: Easily!
Josh: Girls girls, let's not fight over dinner like last night. -Chuckles-
(They say their prayers, then begin to eat.)
Martha: Mom, Dad, are you sure Pemberley is a fun place?
Josh: It was pretty fun for us while we were there. -Eats mashed potatoes with gravy-
Jane: Why?
Martha: Well, John and Andrew think it's pretty boring.
Lucy: My friend Caroline went there before, she said it was awesome!
Martha: -Rolls eyes- Oh please. Caroline thinks homework is fun.
Lucy: So? That's only one thing.
Martha: She thinks chores are fun too.
Jane: I think Pemberley is a great town! I loved living there as a child.
Martha: I hope you're right Mom.
Scene: The next day, John and Alice are helping Martha and Lucy pack
Lucy: Do you really need to pack so many clothes Martha?
Martha: Of course I do! We're going to be at Pemberley for two weeks, fourteen days!
Alice/Kristi: She has a point.
John: -Picks up Lucy's teddy- Aww, this is kinda cute.
Lucy: Duh! Teddy is the cutest of all teddy bears!
John: Can I keep it?
Lucy: No! -Snatches teddy away-
John: -Chuckles- Calm down, I'm only joking.
Alice: So where are you guys going to stay at Pemberley?
John: Maybe some luxurious hotel?
Alice: Ooh, with a swimming pool?
John: Totally!
Martha: That would be great if it were some fancy hotel, but we're staying with our grandparents.
Lucy: And they live in a huge mansion!
John: Does it have a pool?
Martha: I don't know, we've never been there before.
Alice: Do you think I'll ever be able to meet them? After all, they're my great grandparents.
Lucy: You might Alice! Just talk to your parents!
Alice: Will do.
Scene: At the boarding school in Pemberley....
Miss. Penny: With that said, what would be 3.5 times 2 plus 7?
Maggie: -Raises hand-
Miss. Penny: Yes?
Maggie: 10!
Miss. Penny: Sorry, but no.
Ben: -Raises hand-
Miss. Penny: Ben?
Ben: Negative 2!
Miss. Penny: ...No. Anyone else?
(A girl raises her hand.)
Miss. Penny: Yes?
The girl: The answer should be 14. A positive 14, Ben.
Miss. Penny: Well done, Julia!
Julia: -Grins- Thank you.
