hmmm my teacher was showing me how to make the bubbles under water ... to make them u paint the background ..then where u want the bubbles u drop just a tiny piece of salt and it absorb the paint about the salt...when it dry u brush off the salt ... so cause we doing underwater ... I wanted to do dolphin .... I wish I could swim with them ... they such an amazing animal.

Oh wow @Tatiana_SilverHeart, that is such a neat way to make bubbles!  I had no idea that is how you make them!!!  Your picture came out so beautiful I love it!! 

I know!  I wish we had a dolphin pet in VFK so we could swim with them!!

@Doodlepufflove, I used a 6B for parts and a very soft charcoal pencil for others, if you're just starting, I would definitely recommend starting with pencils!!  But if you're at the store or already have some materials in your house, hold them in your hand and make strokes in the air to see what you react best with; it's all a matter of who you are, and what you feel expresses your personality best.  :)

Hi again @Doodlepufflove!

Yes, you have it right!  Start out by drawing shapes, such as spheres, triangles, tubes, and once you've comfortable with the shape, start adding shading!

I know it won't look very good at first, but don't give up!  Any pencil you've got will do, and your 2B will work fine!  For your paper, you can even use lined notebook paper, it doesn't matter, as long as you get some practicing in!
